I bought a small camper from Brotherbill about 6 years ago and only use the propane for the cooktop to heat up veggies and such. Have never refilled it and it still worked a couple of weeks ago. If it goes bad it's something longer than 6 years. And doesn't it sit in the ground for a million or so years???

Went to fill one up that was old but still full. The guy at the propane place (not a gas station) told me propane does not go bad. It would have benefitted him financially if he said yes so i guess i trust him.

I've had propane in a tank forever and it's still burning fine.

I would get the propane system checked (or check it yourself) to make sure the system did not have any leaks if it had been setting that long.

All it involves is a pressure gauge to make sure the system will hold pressure
