I need to start a thread titled, Who doesn't have deer on their deer lease. If it weren't for pigs I would have nothing to hunt.

We got none at our place in Coleman Co and none in Runnels Co.

In Coleman we had pictures of hogs one time in 9 years at 3am one summer night. We have seen one recently in Runnels, but only one in ten years.

However, don't worry. They will get there sooner or later.
            I agree on both points!!!

Yep. Pigs are not all that great. They are fun to shoot but are a big hassle. We've had to build pens around all protein feeders and half our corn feeders. They chase off everything and tear up the land.

Definitely fun to shoot and great practice

Biggest fable right here. If true then why have I hunted 4 seperate places that have just a couple pigs once every 6-18 months for the last 6 years?

A lot of places simply do not hold pigs...period.

We've always hunted leases with pigs and have enjoyed it greatly, especially in the off season. Our current lease in Dripping Springs hasn't had a pig one. From what I understand, they're all around us, but the owner hasn't ever seen them on the property. I'd like the option of hunting something year round, but completely understand the landowner's satisfaction that we're pig-free. We just need to go back to Diamond C for our fix.

How long have you had them? Do you have natural water or tanks?..

Little harsh, I would not say idiotic as much as uneducated. People that have no experience with them have no idea what kind of damage they can do. All they know is it would be fun to shoot some.

Like the old saying goes " Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it"

I would think at least 80% if not more of the leases in Texas have hogs.

No pigs on us, closest I have heard was about 40 miles away. We had two javelina, one was killed this weekend. I don't want any, I can travel to get them.

You are a joke! In your first sentence you say my statement is a fable. In the next sentence you say you have had some. Either you have or you have not. Which is it? SQUIRM WORM.

You are saying its a fable yet you say your place has pigs every 6 to 18 months. Ergo that saying, that there are two types of land owners.......... Is not a fable, it is a fact.

We've had them for about 4 years that I know about.. The only water we have is in troughs. The numbers are low though.. You don't just find sign all over the place. YET
