Done it a couple times but be prepared to be patient. Just hope you spot them first or it will never happen.

There`s nothing like live animal calls lol, I`ve heard of someone using a live cottontail to call in predators but not piggies, that should be funny specially if a mom hears that squeal and comes to save the little pig!

I killed one last Thanksgiving and saw 2 more by the end of the season. I have seen a momma and 2 babies this year so far. I wear full camo leaf suit with facemask. I have had them look right at me from under 10 yards, but haven't been busted. I watched one of the kits within 5 yards for about a hour a couple of weeks ago, trying to catch a mouse or lizard. You need to be very still! I am gonna get a camera. I would love to take picts of them.

thats funny , maybe a coupla hamsters would work too, but they might get tangled up in the string and blow a good bobcat bowkill ....haha

Honestly i think a bobcat bowkill is 90 percent happenstance ,but im all about increaseing the odds in my favor for one of those happenstance's, calling with distress squeals is big edge to have on cats&preds though i guess.......

One of the ones I called in came up from behind me and dang near attacked me. I was standing up and calling...heard a noise behind me, turned around, and he was running full speed at me...shot him at 3 yards with a .22 wearing jeans and a tee shirt.
Had a lot of cats in close...easy calling

wow, were was this thread 2 days ago when I had my first encounter with a cat.he walked out to 45 yrds and and I ripped one out and missed a hair right. Had i known all I had to do was lip squeak I could have had a cat on the wall.

It's not hard. They will come very slow. Do it at night and be patient.

If you've ever watched a house cat stalk something in the yard?
                      That's how they come..

A Double Bull and decoy helps. be willing to sit a long time and wait them out.

                        Good luck

Also, I've noticed they will respond quicker to a woodpecker distress than a cotton tail. They seem to like the higher pitch, faster paced calls.

A decoy works best. I have a stuffed quail that I'll set up 15 yards away and pull on it with a fishing line to make it move. a dove mojo thing will work too.
                            Good luck.
Agreed, I've watched/seen a bunch of bobs and those dudes get in no hurry!! Stay hidden and silent, you may get a shot. The decoy is a great idea to keep his/her attention. Good luck
