How to silence an arrow rest?

I'ver tried them all and the best I have found is the sticky backed felt. BUT you have to make sure that you cover the ends of the metal prongs. Back when I shot those rests I would put the shrink tubing on and us it during the summer to practice. Then I would put the felt over the shrink tubing and hunt. They always worked great and I never had a deer spook from the draw. The felt will wear down with time, but is very easy to replace.

White Hair is a low hit
If you passed thru low and got white hair there would be good blood (unless gut shot and the intestines plugged the hole) Did the arrow have
1)clear/green liquid on it Gut Shot
2) Meat on arrow with little blood Non fatal muscle hit
3) 2/3-3/4 painted with blood..dead deer
If 2) and out no outward arrow sign then I guess you grazed it low and sliced her..not a killing shot and she should recover

grizz, No evidence of gut shot on arrow. Spotty blood along arrow shaft. Didn't see any outward sign on doe as she stood after the shot. I was looking for sign on her with binoculars. Just plain sick about it.
By the way, found a drop zone rest last night for $48 brand new at a store. Looked in Cabella's and they want $109 for it. There was only one left ( I think ). I am going back to buy it today.

I continue to use TM hunter style rest year after year for mainly one reason. There is a product made by GAG called super slicks. Its made for TM style rest and is absolutley the best thing out there for silencing your rest. Its a clear rubber type of tube that goes over your rest. Its not heat shrink.
