Ever done the Texas Driving Experience at TMS?

my old boss did the one in Vegas........... said he had a blast! Even though he couldn't get his self to go over 160

One of my best friend's cousins is Gary Wright, a sprint car/ World of Outlaws driver. He was asked to come try out for Richard Petty back in the early 90's to drive a full blown Nascar. He made the trip, made a couple of laps to get the feel for the car, then opened it up. After the first hot lap, he pulled in the pits, got out and said "No, thanks!" It didn't feel right to him not being sideways through the corners.

This sounds like something I should do, I drive thru houston everyday at about 80 on every road. How do you get to do something like this?

I think most of the NASCAR tracks have some version of the one at TMS

Haven't been around it in a car, but I have raced there on a bike, clocked at a little over 173 on the front straight, dropping from 6th gear all the way to second to make the first infield 160 degree turn is exciting!!!

No metal around me, no, no way, uh-uh, forget it! I start puckering up at around 30 on my 4 wheeler!

I spent a day at Bondurant in Phoenix last November.

We spent most of the day driving new Cadilac CTS's. I am in car #19.

We finished the day going a few laps on the autocross course in these with an instructor at the wheel. It was AWESOME!

I want to go back and do the 2 day driving experience in these bad boys. It is pricey $$$$ though.

I did it and it was Awesome! I had a group from the Richard Petty Driving school come to play paintball at the field I managed for years. They had a great time and invited some of us out the next day. We watched them with the business groups there for rides. They kept it around 120 or 130 or so. When it was our turn the guys loosened up a little and had some fun. 160 to 170 around that track is incredible!! Tailgating and triing to scare us."I loved it". You feel like the rear of the car can come out from under you coming out of the turns. Then it grabs and sling shots you into the straight away. I use to give a safety speech at the paintball field, they told me there safety speech for me was "sit down, shut up and hang on. Some men scream like men some scream like women which will you do?" I said " you won't get a scream out of me". Well I was yelling faster, faster but that as close as they got with me. But the others in our group screamed there asses off!!

Hugging the wall at 160 is loud and fun!!

a about 2 years ago i did the Richard Petty Driving School at Las Vegas it was awesome I think we rode 5 laps and drove 10 laps again it was great go for it
