I wear gloves and walk in on my hands. Have to make several trips for bow, pack, etc.

But I'm built like a brick craphouse now (long walk to my stands)

Some deer just have ESP. Couple weeks ago set tree climber in new tree. Walked all around the base to set climber up. Walked here and there to get yardages. Later had three deer come in and right under me. None of them got spooked.
I'm wearing US military boots and have to walk about 300 yards in.
      Hmm?
Seen a post awhile back about getting busted. One thought was that drinking hard liquor the night before the deer can smell it coming from our body.

I find the greenest, freshest cow patties that I can find and start doing the running man.

Having a hunting partner that is a K9 handler is an interesting subject. From what I understand, K9s don't just track scent, they track the fresh scent of the broken vegetation. So, I'm not sure how that plays into alerting deer but the fact is I'm not so sure we can fully get away from a deer detecting our track on a trail- unless they don't cross it!

I take some apples and stomp them real good, or a get a few handfuls of cedar berries and so the same.

I wear my snake boots everywhere, the always smell like smoke since I burn brush while wearing them. I also step in any cow patty I see when given the chance!

Said he watched deer walk right over his trail and not notice it.
I'm gonna try this. Thanks man!
