Do you tip at Sonic?

What about the Pizza Delivery guy when he drops off pizza they already charge you a 2.00 delivery charge and now a tip for him bringing it?? huh? Just never understood that one.

But most of that goes to the house, not the driver. When I was younger I worked at Papa Johns and we got $0.75/delivery plus our hourly which was low

Oh ok...thanks.....it just seems too complex to me. Just include it in the price. When you order Pizza its kinda like Im too tired to cook so its not a good time to have to do math.

Why does sonic pay so low when their food is just as expensive as everyone else? That's my problem with it.

My daughter car hops at Sonic and will make between $75 -$100 a night on tips. Her hourly pays however is close to nothing so she relies on tips...........
Great way for a college kid to make some spending money.

Why wouldn't you tip? They are coming to serve you, and usually walking further/farther than if you were at a restaurant. If you use the drive thru, then don't tip. If you park and wait on them to bring it to you, then tip them. Their hourly wage is minimal and they depend on tips.

They don't make crap. They get waitress pay. Tips are how the make it.

I dated a carhop, that is the only reason i know.

It's either $2.14 or $2.25 per hour, cannot remember which one she told me.
They are considered wait staff

Not sure why or have ever really thought about it but I do. It is not usually much but somewhere between a buck or two.
