How do you stay scent free?

    Here's my "routine:"

Wash all my clothes, backpack, belt, and towel in scent free detergent. Air dry everything that can be air dried. Shower in scent free soap, scent free deodorant, store all my clothes in a scent safe bag, change into hunting clothes when I get to the field, spray everything with scent killer field spray, and use a cover scent for my boots (doe urine).

    What do you do?

Overrated IMO, I think the're gonna smell you no matter what if you don't have the wind in your face. I actually started standing in campfire smoke recently right before a hunt and have had deer straight downwind without spooking!! They go on alert for just a second but then relax and don't spook like before.

Keep the wind in my favor!.... I do use scent lok cloths... Also keep all mt gear in a cotainer that has dirt scent tabs in it....... Best thing though is dont over hunt stands and dont hunt a stand if the wind is wrong!

Wash all of it in scent removing soap & put in the tinks bag.
Spray with scent killer 99% autumn formula. Smells like the woods I'm in.
Put a tiny bit of buck candy in a sock and pat my shoes and cloths with it.

Just added the buck candy method last year as a cover scent since I use it in the feeder.

                Everything is working so far.

I hunt naked while posted in a tree above the deer. Then jump down and put the deer in a bare naked choke and drag em home. No scent killer needed.

Totally disagree.... Scent is so important. Everyone has stories where they killed a monster where they where not scent conscious. The reason people who dont care about scent dont think that it matters is because they dont see the big bucks bust them. Scent matters, unless your hunting in the backyard where the deer are use to human odor...

Smoke and buck candy is all that has worked for me . I've spent a lot of money on scent free clothing and soaps but standing in camp fire smoke or taking a little bag of buck candy to the tripod is the only way I can consistently have deer come in down wind and not spook.

Smoke. That's the ticket. It's all I use. There is no way to get scent free. Impossible.
There is no way to totally kill your scent so mask it. That's what the indians did.

I go a step further with the smoke, I put a 1/2 burnt log by my stand.
