    Deer (and other) Processor Reviews?

I'm not sure if there's a thread started on this or not but I couldn't find one. I figured since we have a rate the day lease to help each other out then we could do the same for the processors.....Based on your personal reviews not what you've heard from joe neighbor or your BFF in high school but what you personally think, paid etc etc. if this isn't needed or wanted or isn't allowed then mods please delete.
I didn't get to tag anything last year so I have no review but I'm know a bunch if you do.

I have used several in the Spring/Woodlands/Tomball area and have found I like J&J Sausage at Hooks airport the best. I know them well there and am confident I get my own deer back, like their sausages and they are just good folks to deal with. However, like most of the others if you get a lot of extras like sausage, buck sticks, summer sausage, whatever it can get very pricey.

I've southside market in Elgin, right outside of Austin. Only place I've used so I dont have anything to compare it to. I might switch it up this year. But I have no complaints, so far so good.

I have used Klein's in Pflugerville for year's. They are top shelf.
Hudson's in Austin makes great bacon wrapped chopped steaks and jerky. They also process hogs.
Green's sausage house in Zabcikville (near Temple) makes awesome sausage.
David Jung in Fredericksburg makes great traditional German smoked deer sausage.

              I spread my processing around.

I used to use Ye Ol Butcher Shoppe in Plano until I got tired of them cheating me out of some of my meat. Been using Hirsch's Meat Market in Plano ever since.

Old Town Market in Lewisville. Always good turn around. And the properly package the meat. that is one of the most important things to me. had a couple places that didn't. ruined meat in a couple months.

If I can swing through Fredericksburg on my way home, this is where I take my deer. I always manage to bring him an axis in the spring for sure when coming back from Sonora. His stuff is top notch - the baked jerky he does is awesome stuff!
