I try to shoot the alone doe. You don't want to shoot your doe that are throwing twins. If one walks in with two yearlings I leave her alone. I would shoot a two year old doe before a big five year old doe that drops twins. Just my two cents.

I wont shoot a doe that has yearlings with her. Just never have, not that it matters but I am selective. I see no reason to shoot her, there's plenty others to choose from. But like I said above, a stomping snorting doe gets taken out regardless. A doe with twin fawn's is a valuable deer in my book, leave her alone!

I shot a yearling doe that weigned 58 pounds one year and my dads 80 pound doe only had about 3-4 pounds extra meat. I've heard the young ones require more food since they are growing while mature doe just eat to maintain body. So I really dont care if its smaller as other deer will get more to eat. Also take whatever presents itself with good shot.
