This.....burden of proof is on the warden to prove they were hunting...I take my wife in the duck blind with me all the time. As long as she is not holding a gun and I don't take more than a limit for myself...not an issue. We were checked once and he didn't give us any problems
My wife goes to the lease all the time and could care less about hunting. Just goes to hang out. We've had GW in the past come in camp for a check. She told them she does not hunt and that was the end of it.
A hunting license is required if you're in the act of or attempting to hunt.
As long as the g-parents aren't setting in a tripod over a feeder at camp, they'll be ok.
Both of these scenarios would be completely legal, as long as they don't have a weapon with them.
You don't need a license to sit in hunting blind to take pictures, etc.
Same thing as you don't need a fishing license to ride in a boat or walk on a pier.
It depends on what kind of person you are. If you are worried about it enough to post it here, take the time to let the GW know what's going on so you're not stressed out about it.
Personally, I will never ask a law enforcement officer for permission to engage in lawful activities.
