"Menudo, breakfast of champions" That's the bumper sticker I used to have on my truck. I used to make huge pots of it when I was younger. Haven't lately. I don't think my doctor would approve.

Love the broth, love the hominy in it, and I know the tripe gives the broth its flavor but I've tried and tried to "stomach" it but it ain't happening.

I love it! I had two bowls Saturday and another one on Sunday.

I hadn't been drinking either, so it wasn't for a hangover, it's just good.

I love everything eldog makes except the menudo.

I can eat it, but I just can't enjoy it the way Joe does.

Not sure why, maybe its the scotch-irish taste buds drawing a line.

I'll stick to the salsa and lengua.



If you need some grease on a Sunday morning, the lengua is the ticket.




I'll give the menudo another try. I want to be able to say its something I like... I'm just not there yet.

I found some at Chuspy's Burritos in Marble Falls Saturday that looked really good. I just couldn't figure out how to eat it in the car.
