To me its about how it hits the palate. I want beef and bread to be tasted first, not the "garnish". If i wanted it all mixed together id ask for a casserole.

Why on Gods Green Earth would you put lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, etc. on the BOTTOM of a hamburger? They're TOPPINGS, right? I've seen it more and more lately and its driving me bonkers. It even happens at reputable burger joints... not just some fast food chain where the yahoo makin the burger doesn't know top from bottom. Is there something I'm missing?

I know, I know... flip the burger over and quit cryin... but somethin aint right about seein the bottom bun on the top of a burger.

Just venting Had Pneumonia for the last 2 weeks and its getting close to opening day and I'm not near as ready as I'd like. Backed up at work and just wanted a burger and had no time to sit down and enjoy... and they raped my cheap little burger They've done it at both Koppe Bridge and Chicken Oil, which I think are good burger joints...

You need to study the anatomy of the mouth a bit more. There are taste buds on the roof of your mouth.

Now whether you taste more with the roof or the tongue, I have no idea....that's just what the dude said.

When I order a burger from somewhere I go without the green stuff, its always soggy and the tomatoes aren't fresh so I just order it without that stuff. Only time I put tomatoes, lettuce or onions on my burger is when I make it fresh at home, taste alot better.
