OK, got the removable forms built for the top of the first bench...just needs steel and concrete. The form is reusable so the next one will go faster. If anyone wants to duplicate this bench after you see the completed project I will keep the forms.

First bench after the forms were stripped:



A little rough but after the second one is poured I'll point them up with a cement slurry and then put a coat of concrete paint on them.

OK, done finally. All that is left is cleanup and to put a cover over it. Gonna set end posts/frames and then stretch wire between them and put palm fronds on top from when I trim the palm trees. Might paint them with concrete paint, too.

Got the deck on the end of the pier, too...still need to bring in the gravel and flagstone for the walkway out on the peninsula to it...
