I read "No Easy Day" in one day; couldnt put it down. Its definitely a page turner. I'm 25 and it seriously makes me consider training for SEALs or Special Forces.....

For those who have read it; funniest part of the book in my mind was the "Staff of Power" I still chuckle every time I think about it.

No more or less "classified" than the reams of info the O admin gave Hollywood so they could make a movie glorifying "The One"

I'll have to pick up a copy. If you liked Lone Survivor you'll like American Sniper. It's also a good read.

No BS kinda guys writing no BS kinda books.

Oh, and I agree on being very carefull what you say and write.

I saw the author interviewed by Scott Pelley recently. He was made up to conceal his appearance, but I was very impressed with his humility and apparent desire to shine a bright and positive light on the team and on the support people (i.e. CIA, etc). I look forward to reading the book. I don't know if it was mentioned in the book, but when the president came to congratulate the team he asked who had fired the shot that killed Bin Laden. They wouldn't say...only that the team had.

It is a great read. The author doesn't off as a braggart or full of himself. He does give a lot of credit to his fellow warriors. As already mentioned he is donating some of the book profits to support the families of fallen comrades.

Just started it last night, about 75 pages and didn't want to put it down.

One of my favorite reads in a long time... This one is one of the most "real" books I've read on detailed military activity. It just makes you feel like you're there.

I just haven't been able to bring myself to read Lone Survivor after watching what a jerk Latrell has made of himself with that horrible "hunting" show he has. I can't stand the guy. I honor his service, but... well, I'll just leave it at that.

I read it in a few days, and I'm not an avid reader. I thought it was an awesome account and didn't want to put it down. Everybody is making a big deal about him giving up classified information, but there is nothing in there that I haven't already seen on TV the week after the raid.

Other than the fact(s) that he set the record straight of the actual account and who really made it happen, such as the girl from the CIA that had tracked UBL full time for so many years, and the rest of the intelligence community... We have a some real American heroes in this account that flat deserve to be heard and celebrated by the American people they serve and protect...

Heck, before I read the book, I thought O-bummer had done everything except pull the trigger himself

FEARLESS is also worth the read. Outstanding testimony of an elite operator and his faith in the Lord.
