I went ahead and bought "No Easy Day" the day it hit stores because I was convinced that the DOD was going to attempt to suppress it and have it removed from the shelves.
The author makes a full disclosure about what is used for information in the book, discloses the use of attorneys who made sure there was no information that would compromise past, or future missions, operators or families of operators.
To me it's a tasteful, humble account of one mans journeys through a decade of difficult theatre's rife with what appears to be "normal" bureaucratic B/S and stumbling blocks. And more than anything a homage to the thankless work these folks do behind the scenes everyday.
If you're looking for a long term project, this isn't your book, this is a fast paced, "down and dirty" account of several interesting stories from a career spent as the elite of the elite. It tops out at 208 pages (on my Nook Color) and reads very quickly.
However, I gre up in a home with a father who was former Special Forces, and I have been intrigued and read anything I can about the lives of these folks. So for me it is always fulfilling to see someone be willing to come ouot from the shadows, and shine some light on a very secretive world, and to do it humbly to boot.
I say it's a fantastic read, and should make anyone proud, this man appears to give all the credit to the Teams, rather than self. And his respect to the cause rather than patting himself on the back.
It gets the full two thumbs up from me

Hope this helps!!
