    ? on shoot through windows

primos preditor den blind. Can you shoot through the mesh windows without messing up the flight of the arrow? The mesh seams real thick.

Shoot thru windows sound like a gimmick to me. Especially with expandables. I wouldn't trust them on a trophy.

I tried this using the Rage broad head and it looked like someone took a machete to my pop up.

Also, since most folks seem to be shooting vanes, shoot thru window screen doesn't work too well with them either. Feather fletching made it easy to shoot thru the mesh with a FIXED blade head, especially cut on contact, but the stiff vanes can catch on the mesh enough to mess up the arrow flight.

Grim reaper broadheads shoot thru mesh windows just fine. They open and close then reopen on animal impact. Pretty cool broadheads IMO.

Slick tricks work great. I have never had any trouble shooting through nets before. The double bull netting is the best that I have found.

You can shoot through the mesh without any problems at all with fixed blade heads. I haven't tried it with Rages. If I want to shoot one of those, I just pull the mesh down. See this post on another thread for a tip on making that work better: http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...66#post5788266

I shoot my Thunderheads and Blazers through the screen on my Primos Escape Deluxe blind and haven't had a problem. I did take a target and practice out to 40 yards and it never affected arrow flight.

Between me and Landrover i have lost count of the deer we've killed useing shoot thru mesh. Its far from a gimmick. It works. However, not so much with mechs.

                            MISS!

Had even just video'd it, reviewed the tape and it was obvious the arrow was deflected downward. I posted it here back then, but it had some naughty words in it.

Best bet(if you can) is to position you ground blind so the morning or evening sun isn't pouring through the window. I have sat in mine and waved at Deer 10 yards away without being seen.

I've shot hogs through a regular metal screen on the porch using hellrazors.
