Fantastic story and photos - you have great self control. Several of our group saw a buck mounting does at the same stand a couple of days in a row down in Encinal, we named him "Hef" (Hugh Hefner). Hang tough, you'll get the 8.

I was bowhunting BC Before compounds at Redford Army Ammunition Plant in VA ona bow hunt.

I saw a 9 pointer and a spike buck take turns with a doe. The spike bred her 6 times while the 9 pointer only mounted her twice.... there was no fighting as they all knew they was plenty to go around.

After an hour a worked to bow range shot only to hit a hanging vine I failed to see.

I counted 77 bucks that day. Years later my son Jeff harvest his first Pope & Young Ten pointer there

Yeah, and I would have hated her for killing the buck I had been chasing. I'd have been so ticked that I would have shot this buck the next evening and got thrown off the lease for killing babies. LOL
