It's all crap. Supposed to be reality tv but everything is scripted. Like the repo shows, got to do something bigger so now they have to have exlosions and crap, or ripping doors off cars by hand. It's like watching Wrestling!

No one around town would pay them to be on their property why do you think they have to travel to film the show. I watched a few episodes and realized the was terribly scripted and these people have no idea how to properly control or get rid of a hog propblem. SMDH
I have cut a boar open and found wool/mohair in them so I know they eat sheep/goats too.
The show is crap though and the rest of your statement about that family is correct.

Although I have heard of a bunch of sows gettign a calf too.

To my knowledge there has never been a video posted of a boar attacking and killing a calf or cow. Do they eat baby calves that died in birthing or had problems or if the cow was paralized while giving birth and unable to fight them off for the fist hour, yes no doubt, they are meat eaters. We used to shoot gar back in the 70's to bait the hog traps. If wild hogs really ate live healthy calves there would not be any cattle left in texas as many hogs as there are. Hogss will eat stressed dying goats caught in brush thickets for sure and i am sure you found mohair in a hogs stomach, but did it actually run down a live healthy goat, attack it and kill it and then eat it??? Love to see some when hogs attack video for sure. We toss guts and leftovers in a dedicated location and its nothing to go back and see hogs running from the gutpile along with yotes and buzards. We see dead cows being scavanged by hogs all the time but know they were sick and not killed by Jerry Campbells windy storieslol As overweight and crippled up as he is on the show how does he escape a wild killer hog himself comes to mindlol

It's ironic....the recent success of Texas, in view of the rest of the Union NOW....is pretty much on top. Texas......as we stand now...replaced what the USA once was.
So...getting back to my first statement.....Media \ Production \ Entertainment \ Hollywood etc....are typically left leaning. So...let's create some Reality TV shows down Texas way....and fuel a fire...that makes Texas and Texans look HICK...BACKWARDS and COMPLETELY OUT THERE - and get this programming on PRIME TIME portraying TEXAS and TEXANS as a bunch of YAHOOs with GUNS.
I don't drink the KookAide and I refuse to watch programming.......that sends a negative and or suggestive message that isn't centric with reality.

With all due respect. The calf/goat/sheep kills I've seen done by hogs were done way before anyone video'd hunting. IF it was video'd it would have been done by a camera that would be in a museum now.
A typical 150lb feral pig doesn't have the "hardware" to kill a calf by itself. However, a 225lb Russian Boar with 3+inch tusks on him can certainly get it done. I'm not talking about a feral pig here, I'm talking about a real Russian Boar.
Again, it doesn't happen every day obviously but a properly motivated boar is capable of it.
I have heard of, but have not seen, groups of sows killing calves when they are newly born.
I have also seen groups of buzzards trying to kill baby calves at a dairy.
Jerry Campbell is full of Sh*T, Robert is a coward, and Krystal is as fake as a $3 dollar bill. BUT, boars killing livestock CAN happen.

Funny story, a couple years ago I went on an axis hunt near Brownwood TX. Worst guide I have ever experienced in my life, but definitely a memorable experience. I watched American Hoggers for the first time a month ago and quickly remembered that old fart (Jerry Campbell) was our guide. I sat there puzzled thinking to myself "how did this bozo land a TV gig?"
Jerry's daughter showed up on the last day of the hunt, and she was definitely much better looking back then...

I watched the son and sister shoot and miss 10 times with two guns on a pig in an open field, then the old mans truck burns up and the idiot shoots it and says that how we do it down here.....
He then says there is " nobody better " at catching hogs, hell I know boys here in east texas that catch more in a weekend than they do all year.
This and " texas storage wars" makes us all look like idiots to the rest of the world.
