My feeder throws too far!! Need suggestions

I'm running a new all seasons feeder. No barking cage as it's about 7.5 ft to the spinner plate. This thing launches missiles!! Anyone have any suggestion on something to rig up to block the corn from going so far?

can you not change the speed of the motor?

Change from pea gravel to road base. Seriously, you could put some tin on the upper parts of the legs, but then you would have a pile under the feeder.

LOL^^^. I used some old licence plates and made deflectors for mine. Just bend them and use some self-tapping screws to attach to bottom of feeder barrel.

put metal flashing around the barrel where the corn deflects off of it toward the ground. Makes a lot a racket but thats what draws the deer to you though, right?

No. I thought it was strange that it is not an option on this one as all my pleats ones I could. Regardless, I don't think it would help much in this location

Could you possibly have a 6v motor on a 12v battery?

Put a 6 volt battery in it instead of a 12 volt causing the motor to turn slower

Flashing or sheet metal screwed to the barrel. I have one throwing outside the pen I need to fix too. One thing for sure, when it throws, it is loud.

I used a rubber mat to wrap halfway around mine, let's me put it right against the wood line so I can see past it and not be throwing corn into the brush where I can't get a shot

Even a varmint cage would help. It made a pretty big different on mine.
