Any of them will work. Go to Cavanders and get to looking.
That is the one thing I found out after the sale and was really disappointed with. Made in China? WTH...

I did however buy these boots as a less expensive experiment to see if my back could take wearing boot all day again. Well I found my answer and will be buying a similar boot from South Texas Prime in the near future. The owner assures me he can put a cushion sole on them that will accommodate my bad back.

Yup got 2 pairs currently. One pair that I wear for everything I think were called Fat Boys (could be wrong) are the most comfy and durable boots I've ever owned

Anderson Beans will be at the higher end of your price range. Lucchese makes a great boot as well. Just keep an eye out for a discontinued model and you can save $$.

If it were me, I'd stay away from Twisted X, Ariat, Tony Lama, and some of the Justins. As in most cases, you're going to get what you pay for.

If your not dancing or wearing a dress boot, get a rubber sole boot. IMO they are more comfortable and durable. I have 3 pairs of Ariats and will keep buying them.

These aren't the boot they used to be. After the company was bought by Hondo boot company they cheapened up the components. The guy at South Texas Prime has boots of most mfg. sawn in half to show you how and what they are made of. Hardly any boot anymore has a steel shank in them that helps hold the boot rigid for longer wear. At least that is what I was shown. Not knocking anyone's choices just spreading what I have learned from a boot maker.

I bought a pair of Larry Mahan's from Cavendar's on Sunday and they are in the middle of your price range before tax. They are made in Nocona, TX for Cavendar's. They have a leather sole but these are dress boots so that is what I wanted.

This is my first pair of square toes and I have to say the Larry Mahan line had the least crazy upper colors of any of the square toes I looked at. Check the Cavendar's website too.

Anderson Bean and Olathe are the best on the market. I have had 5-6 pairs of them combined. I also had a pair of HP anderson beans that were worthless. The insole came out within a month and the shank was just nailed to the leather insole in the boot, I would not recommend this boot.

I also have a pair of Rio's, nice dress boots, high dollar.

Nacona and Larry Mahan are good, but Anderson Bean is where you want to go for boots that fit and last. Olathe if your really hard on your boots, "them's fir feedlot cowboys".

Got a pair of these myself...Very comfortable boots. Soles only lasted about 6 months but I wear boots out quick anyway.

I wear Twisted X work boots with rounded steel toes. Most comfortable work boots I've ever worn. Going to try some Red Wings next those since they decided to add Metatarsal guards to our safety requirements at work.

I've got a pair of Double H too & then I have some Tony Lama's I go dancing in. Both are square toes and really comfortable but I always add the Dr. Schol's work insole in all my boots.

I don't have the budget for $200+ boots but I know a lot of my buddies that have 3 or more pair of em! To each their own, I guess.

You definately need to go try some boots on, all of the brands listed above are good boots but are all going to fit a little differently. I love my Ariat boots and have had a few pair of Justin in the past but Tony Llamas never seem to fit right. I have tried a few pair of Tony's and they just always feel akward to me.
