    Need boot recommendations

Kinda feel like less of a Texan saying this but ive never owned a pair of cowboy boots, only had steel toe work boots. Im thinking about finally getting some. Ive seen some fat stickers on boots but i guess im looking on the lower end. Wanted to spend 150-200 max. Where should i start?

      dancing working wearing?

I have a pair of Nacona leather souls I like to dance in

But as far as wearing, comfort, and longevity I would say hands down the Ariat boots are by far the best
twisted x are also ok if you get the right pair, i have a pair of riding boots form them i love.

honestly just stop in your local Cavendars and see what feels and looks the best to you

Anderson bean makes one of the best boots on the market. I have 2 pair of theirs, one a custom design and one of the rack. With care they will last forever. Both my sets are on their third resole. one pair is almost 7 years old. Highly recomend. They are the only ones I would buy short of full custom.

Anderson bean all the way. I've never owned a pair of the horsepower style that AB makes but know people that have and they don't hold up compared to reg ABs. I've heard the HP aren't as comfortable either. Regular ABs are gonna run anywhere from $200 plus but they are worth it. Check out davisboots.com, they usually have a decent selection that chain stores don't carry. They usually have a lot on sale too.

I say Justin is at the top for what you're looking for. I bought another pair yesterday, their bent rail series this time, cavenders has a sale on them $20 off $169.99, very comfortable and look awesome!

From what I have been told, the HorsePower line is made in Mexico from AB's patterns. Cheaper leather and the craftsmen are not as skilled. cheaper price tag and cheaper boot. Not personal experience, but I have looked at them in the store and they do appear to be cheaply made.

Olathe, or Anderson Bean gets my vote, but they are pretty much the same since they are made by the same people

That would be my assumption also. I heard something or it might be on their website but the HP are supposed to be a line that the average joe can afford and have the look but doesn't need the quality and price tag an everyday user would need. Not putting down mission or diamond bows, but kinda like they are slightly cheaper than their parent companies.

For God's sake, if you are going to buy Ariat or Twisted X, make sure you aren't buying crap made in China. I know we all buy Chineese made trash all the time, but cowboy boots should be the one good we buy that is made in Texas or at least the USA. I like Justin, Tony Llama, Luchasee, and Anderson Bean. Any of them will work. Go to Cavanders and get to looking.
