Can you set it up to where you dont get the text messages at a certain time. Like maybe you could get the "overnite" pictures sent to you at say 8:00 a.m. instead of 2:00 a.m.???? I have close family members with health problems so I like to keep my phone on at all times but would hate to get a bunch of texts with pictures of coons all night (keeping me awake).
I like the ideal and will look into it further.Last edited by BradBryant1000; 08-12-2012, 01:34 PM.

First of all, thanks to all who are contributing to this thread. This is awesome. I watched the video (10times) and want to make sure i understand it.
1)Buy Camera
2)Open a go pro account for 20 bucks a month and they give me a sim card ....not a phone
3) I use the sim card to "program" the camera to send emails and texts or basically turn it into a phone
Q. So, once Ive set up the cam using the ATT sim card..... I can have the texts sent to my Sprint phone number and any email?

Time to switch. I switched from Sprint to ATT years ago because Sprint coverage blows. To add the line for the Sim card is costing me $10 per month.

You can send the pics to any cell number the can receive texts.
Hope this helps.

Insert the SD card in to a sd card reader hooked up to your computer. Open the program on the SD card and add your email addresses or phone numbers. It is pretty self explanatory. Save Program back to the sd card and insert it back in the camera. It will upload the info to the camera and store it to the camera's internal memory. The sim card stays in the camera and is not used to program it.

It is my understanding that AT&T has a 1000 txt go phone plan for 9.99 a month. The camera I have has a feature that will limit the number of texts it can send in a day. You can set it so it does not go over the 1000 per month. The thing you have to keep in mind is when it sends a pic to multiple numbers or email addresses it counts as text. E.g. You have 4 cell numbers and 4 email addresses setup to receive pics = 8 texts per picture. You could setup a single email address specifically for the camera to decrease the amount of texts sent each day.
