But we sure should look into the comittee that chose the colors....those are the ugliest color combinations I've seen...to say nothing about the shoe colors...lime green flourescent....or whatever it is called has to be one of the ugliest things I've seen...

Why should a uniform cost 3-4 times as much just so it can be made here? The jobs you are speaking of have been long gone from this country for years. The garment industry moved overseas a while back, not just in the last 4 years. And the jobs created by someone making uniforms for athletes for one event would only be temporary. Because what would they do after the informs are done?

And Nike and Adidas already do the majority of their garment and shoe manufacturing overseas. Name a company that had millions of dollars to bid on making the uniforms, and has a US facility capable of making them, and I might see it your way. Until then getting angry about it is just silly IMO.

And I agree some of the uniforms could use a little more representation of our colors incorporated into them.

Wilson still has US made uniforms but they won't pay the huge bucks Nike will pay to get chosen as the supplier.

I know the ones for the opening ceremonies were suppose to be but havent heard about the competition ones. It wouldnt surprise me if they were made there.

I have not heard about the others either!

Nike made them grey so the athletes would "shine" on the medal stand. I like navy in an athletic uniform as much as anybody, but navy to me is not one of our colors.

Bingo........all about marketing as the majority of the countries have wierd colorsworking for them. Watch the sales of this uniforms for high schools and college teams. Remember the uniforms for college football last season.......it is all about sales............NOT SOME SINISTER CONSPIRACAY!!! LMAO!!!

I like the outfits they wear to get medal, look awesome but it would be better ifbthey would represent more usa colors than black and gray
