Yep, taste like you've got a penny in your mouth. Lightning struck our rig regularly in S. Tx

Wow!!! Glad everyone seems to be ok. I would repeat the dr advice just to check.
It has been my experience insurance won't pay for lightening strike, but will for a power surge. Had old insurance guy tell me that. Course I'm sure your more worried about your family right now.
Prayers everyone is ok with no problems!

Glad your ok. But like others said go get checked by your dr. My wifes cousin had that happen and dealt with side effects for awhile afterwards.

Glad y'all are okay, get checked out to make sure as others have suggested. Heart arythmia is serious stuff.

Sorry for your stuff, hope your insurance will take care of you.

Get it checked out. My grandfather was struck by electricity.
It hardens the blood in the body and can cause a pretty serious blood clot.
Get it checked for safe measures.

Same thing happend at my house 3-4 years ago. Fried almost everything in the house. Smelled smoke really bad. Neighbor called the fire dept cause he saw it hit the house and the smoke plume. Luckly, no fire but they suggested we call an electrician which we did. Replaced a couple of outlets. Scary stuff. Glad you are ok.

Thanks guys and gals for all the advise. Still a little freaked out about it all. It looks like my big screen is going to work, but the Blu ray and satellite and my internet is toast. Still checking out everything to see if everything works.

Absolutely not true. It does depend on your policy, but most of the time it is covered. Now, whether or not the damage excedes your deductible...that's a different story.
