Struck By Lightning

Tonight we were setting in the living room watching some TV and visiting with an approaching storm coming when all the sudden it sounds like the house exploads and I feel electricity shoot through my body. My daughter feels the same thing and my niece that we raise is turning on the kitchin sink and she just feels a tingle in her finger tips. Sparks fly everywhere outside the window. I knew immediately we had been hit by lightning, so without thinking about me getting struck, I check on everybody and check for fire and such. Now I have a taste in my mouth that kinda tastes like I would think a match tastes like.and am pretty sore. Feels like I have been working out or something. My muscles keep jumping. My daughter pretty much has the same symptoms except with a headache. My grandson was sitting in my lap about 20 seconds before the strike when he started crying and ran to my wife on the other side of the living room. Just as soon as he gets there boom. I am just praising God that we are all okay. My electronics are fried tv, internet, blue ray, satellite, etc. Cell phones is obviously ok for me to type this in. Weird night.

Man.. I am glad you are all ok but you guys might need to pay a Dr a visit and get check out. Lightning can affect your heart arythmia as well as other organs and tissue. When you get things situated have an electrician install a surge protector at your main panel outside and it should save your appliances and electronics.

Always suck and ditto on the doc visit. Thank the Lord that the baby left before the strike, it could have affected him worse. Do you think he felt the surge before the hit?

I think we are ok. I don't know if he felt it or what. It was weird though. It was like he knew it was coming.

Wow, that's scary. I'll throw a 3rd encouragement to see a doc. Like was said earlier, the electricity can throw your heart off pattern and you wouldn't know it until something happened later.

I would take everyone to the emergency room if your soft organs are burnt you may not know it for hours.
