Actually, all spiders are venomous, but most have venom that is too mild to do any real harm to people, or their fangs are too short to penetrate skin, or both. Unless you have some kind of allergic reaction to spiders there are only four types normally found in the U.S. that are harmful to people:
1. Black Widow
2. Brown Recluse
3. Yellow Sac Spider ( causes a necrotic lesion like a Brown Recluse)
4. Hobo Spider ( also called the aggressive house spider, found in the northwest U.S.)
Now, to creep you out, there have been several reported findings of the very deadly Brazilian Wandering Spider in bunches of imported bananas at grocery stores, mainly in Europe. One was believed found in a store in Tulsa last year but was destroyed by a University of Tulsa biologist before before a confirmed ID was made by experts.
