The pipe line company has been up and down the ranch I work on putting a 16" pipe in the ground for gas. The ditch they dug looks like its 6 feet deep. The pipe line is from sonora to Houston. And we just happened to be in the middle of it.

It will be strung, x-rayed, sand blasted, coated, jeeped, droped and back filled in less than a week , Them pipe gangs work fast.Comment

From Sonora to Houston is appx 350 miles. One spread is lucky to get a mile of pipe welded a day.Originally posted by BOW BANDIT View Post
Even with 10 spreads, one mile a day, that's still 35 days of laying pipe. Then there's tie-ins.
I've been around pipelines my entire life (38+ years), and worked on them for 20+ years. I don't see this entire line being laid and backfilled within a week.Comment
