I just don't like messing with the team chemistry in the middle of a tight pennant race. The Rangers are still leading the league in hitting(by a sizable margin)so I'm in no hurry to throw the Olt kid to the wolves, aka Verlander,J Weaver,Chris Sale, etc. Maybe Jon Daniels feels he needs to show the fans why they DID NOT SIGN Greinke,Lee,etc?Maybe that's what this call up is about.
And all you guys ragging on M Young better check the stats,he has a higher fielding % than any of the other infielders...while playing multiple positions. Yeah he aint flashy,he just tries to make all the plays that are "supposed" to be made. And through the process of osmosis he's turning into a pretty decent 1st baseman.

What "chemistry"? If they had great chemistry right now I suspect they'd be playing a little better.

I don't see anything wrong with adding a little booster to the chemistry with the way they are stumbling a little... I doubt seriously that Mr. Ranger is going to have his playing time reduced much. If anything, Moreland will if Olt proves to be a serviceable first baseman and a nice hitter. The chances of that are low percentage in the grand scheme of things...

All I know about that is shame on the Braves for letting Tex get away. Because before it's all over Teixeira will be one of the best first basemen in Yankees history.

Not throwing him to the wolves. They are letting him face that db cj. As far as young goes. You can't boot what you can't get too. Players get old and lose a step. Baseball is always gonna be a game of what have you done for me lately.
