Several people have been asking for updates on our house construction. My apologies for not being more diligent with updates.
Since I last updated, they've finished the drywall, rocked the bar and fireplace, put up the light fixtures/fans, installed tile and carpet and set all of the cabinets.
They wouldn't measure for the countertops until the cabinets were set on Thursday, so it will be another week or two before those are installed, and then they'll just have to finish up with sinks, faucets, etc. and set the appliances and we'll be ready to close.
In the meantime, the builder's cleaning lady came out on Saturday and cleaned up the bedrooms. We set up our bed and a bed in one of the girl's rooms on Saturday night and spent our first night in the house! The girls, as you might imagine, are getting very excited. Hopefully within a couple of weeks we won't have to settle for a trial run!
