Storing corn

Can I just store bags of corn in my garage from now thru at least some of the season?
How long will it last in the bags in my garage?

I store 2 tons of bagged corn in a storage building but I spray the building and the bags with suspend to keep the bugs away.

Bags in the garage bring mice.... and they may end up smelling like exhaust.

Bags out side in a drum hold up very well... I used to keep a drum with a bag or two in it at every stand... Show up grab some corn then hand corn a bit and get in... Then corn went to 7 dollars a bag and I quit keeping "extras" just lying around... If I only knew one day I'd pray for 7 dollar a bag corn... I remeber when it was 3 something...

It will not last as long in a plastic barrel as opposed to a metal drum.

IT all depends on MOISTURE CONTROL... if its dry it will last for a loooooong time.

If its wet, not long at all.
