No. It will sweat and then mold. You'd be better off stacking sacks in and old freezer

freezer will keep it good for a LONG time, but out in this Texas summer sun, wont last a week

Yes. I stored 8 barrels of it last year outside at my place in Brownwood and it did just fine. These were 55 gallon metal barrels that were sealed very good. I stored them from June to November and all corn was fine. All I did was open the barrels once a month for about 30 minutes while I was at the ranch. None of my corn had mold and deer never had a problem eating it. This is just my personal experience.

Right there with ya. We store corn year round in metal barrels out in Lampasas, no mold, no problems, plenty of deer eating it.

What is the difference in a sealed barrel behind the house or in a sealed barrel slinging it every day at the ranch in the heat.I store bulk corn in barrels at our ranch until needed and it is fine.

This is my question too. At $10 per 50#, I want to start buying now and getting a surplus. I stacked a few bags in the garage prior to last season and the mice found it in no time.

I need a new storage remedy for bags of corn in the garage!

we build a wood box that was water tight (not air tight) and stored corn year round in it for several years with no problems. it finally began to leak and that ruined the corn on the bottom.

If you've got a garage, stack it up along the wall and you'll be fine as long as no water gets on it. If there's a possibility of water on the floor, figure out a way to keep the bottom bags off the ground
