I was stationed there for a year but that was a long time ago. Just rent a car and drive around the island. There are so many little out of the way places to see.

Go to the big island and see Volcano National Park.

      PM Stickbow. He lives there.

time this place on te north shore is awesome.
A family owned shop established in 1951, serves shave ice, original t-shirts, and goods. Located in the small historic town of Haleʻiwa on Oahu's North Shore.

The Arizona is a must see for sure.

Polynesian Cultural Center (includes an awesome luau), snorkling at Hanauma Bay (like swimming in a giant aquarium), Dole Plantation, Bishop Museum, Pearl Harbor, North Shore & Waimea Canyon, and a helicopter tour. There are countless good places to eat - ask youur hotel for recommendations.

                        Thanks for the ideas.

Pearl and Arizona is on my list already.
Jeep sounds like a great idea.

If I recall, Oahu is the island you fly in to. Honolulu is the big attraction along with the Arizona memorial. We stayed mostly on Maui which was our favorite. We stayed on Kono for a couple of days but other than the helicopter ride, it's just sort of a big dead rock.

My wife and I said if we ever went back, we'd stay on Maui the entire time.

We are headed to Oahu and Maui in Feb. Why do you say just Maui?
