    Thought I'd Heard It All---

When I was listening to the New Braunfels radio station (AM 1420) last week, they were talking about a new ordnance the city council had had the first reading on. It was to impose a charge (tax) on stormwater runoff from your land! It would be computed based on how much impermeable surface you had - driveway, slab, parking lot, etc.

Can you believe that? A tax on rain?

welcome to Houston Drainage Tax. the state supreme court upheld it for Houston, so a lot of other towns will do it too.

Our storage facility gets to pay $313/month for this 'tax'!
When the sprinklers aren't going, our water bill is about $10.

Want to know why taxes have to go up? It's because of all the scams. Read this link and be blown away.

And this is only one small way they scam our tax money. How long will "the people" sit around and watch them get rich off us while raising our taxes to pay for it?

How America's biggest banks took part in a nationwide bid-rigging conspiracy - until they were caught on tape

It will never end unless we figure out what to do about it!

So they tax the runoff....capture it in tax funded reservoirs, clean it in tax funded facilities, and then charge us to use it for drinking, bathing and cleaning while taxing the property we use it on. .... Interesting...
