    Ford's down for the count...again

Back at planet Ford dealership with the Expedition that decided, on the way back from galveston, to start sputtering, shudderring, misfiring, and smelling like raw fuel... And trying to stall out with no power..
Appears to be a fuel injector issue, (apparently known issue with a recall notice that should have been taken care of before we bought the thing)..
Had to be towed because I'm pretty sure it hydraulic'ed and bent valves or rods.
For those that don't by extended warranties.. you must not have my luck.. because between this potential cost and the transmission it got last year... It's about $10000.
All I can say is ill continue to pay for them.

What year is your expedition? I have an 07 F150 and has been showing some similar issues. This all happened after a spark plug change.

Unfortunately, that agreement only applies to certain 05 models. I will have to call the dealer to see if there is one for the 07's

I have never purchased the extened warrenty on new Ford vehicles and I've bought seven or eight in the last 20 years. Never had even one that needed anything. I am blessed

Yeh that was specifically our expedition.. but do a Google search ..there were others ..waiting for them to plug it in to the computer see the extent if the damage..
We' ll be selling after its fixed... Don't trust it anymore.

Well they are replacing the injectors, as part of the recall.. they claim no other damage was found..should be fixed in an hour.
Gonna begin looking at trading it in.. I'm done with it.. not a reliable vehicle for my kids to be riding in.

so how long did you drive noticing the raw fuel?

if you were smelling it, the crankcase was probably full of fuel as well and if it was or even if there was a small amount, it thins out your oil and will basically wash all the lube out to the point the bearings will start getting destroyed....you need to ask them about that oil change and or check it yourself....very possible they might have just changed it and hoped nothing further would happen
