I have been trying for 2 weeks to find someone to go bowfishing with me. I just got a boat and I know several spots with huge gator gar. I know I would be all over that if I was invited. Anyone else experience this? Lol just venting.

I feel ur pain... me and "lilredneck" used to hook up all the time and now I'm way up here so its hard for us to get together. If I still lived there I'd give you a hollar. Good luck and hope your'e girlfriend has a good recovery.

I know how you feel, but I see it from the other side too. I have four kids so it can be hard to get away on someone elses schedule. I go when I can, basically as often as I can. I would love to have a buddy on the lease I have here by the house to hunt with but it hasnt happened.

When it comes to my bass fishing though, Jooger17 is one of the only ones I have found that is as serious or more serious about it than me. Most just want to go for an hour or two. I like to stay at least 4 if not 8 or more and most quit or hint to do something else if you are not catching fish every 3 minutes.
Oh man I can't stand that.

Well I'm suffering a bit of a lull right now myself I have a 4.5 yr old a 2 yr old and a baby due in September. hunting has pretty sparce last couple years not for lack of want but I also enjoyed the camping and swimming and just hanging out with the family. I will make up for time lost chasing whitetails.

I know the feeling....I have to hunt and fish 90% of the time alone.
Bought a nice bay boat and couldn't give a fishing trip away. Sold it 2 years later.
Got plenty of places to hunt and usually have to go solo(fayetteville). Everyone else has something going on in life except me apparently.

Same as above mentioned....I always say I'm game whenever just give me a call. The calls never come.

yep... got 4 other guys on our lease... im there from oct 1st till dec31. only miss
two or three weekends... last year only saw others there 3 times in 3 months.

got electricity, tv, and a big grill... its a D$mn shame. spend all that money to sit on your
sofa all fall and winter and let your bows and guns rust.

Once I start my new job I'll have half the year off, so I'll be doing quite a bit more. I'm trying to get my boat up and running so I can go bowfishing and run jug lines. I'm out in Crosby and I've been looking for an outdoors buddy. Shoot me a PM and we can swap numbers. A couple of my buddies tear up the gar on the Trinity in Liberty but we never seem to be off work on the same days.

Any intrest in pistol shooting? Me and my fiance are getting into it. I live 1/2 mile from an indoor range. I'm also starting to get in to reloading. Let me know.

I have that problem as well, I'm not overbearing, but it seems like I attract those type personalities. The best hunting buddy I've found, is me. As Mac Davis sang, I relish my own company, I go where, and when I want.
