Weed Eater string keeps breaking - need a better solution

    I will definitely endorse the Echo string. I will happily pay extra for it, it is that good.

    I have an Echo commercial trimmer, and I use the .135 line for heavy cutting and .095 for finish work. The quick feed head is the only way to go, winding string is no fun at all.

    I can cut heavy grass (johnson grass, etc) with the heavy string and not bog the trimmer. It is still light enough for finish work too. It has served me for over 10 years at home and the lease, and lots of trail work days with the mountain bike club and still going strong.

      Keep your line in water and you'll get a lot more out of it.

            New Echo line holder/feeder is junk--son bought one on my recommendation and now thinks Dad knows even less. The old style works as well as any setup I've ever used.

              X2 if you buy the small packages that are precut you will see a sponge in the bottom pour in water and keep it moist
