When i edge the yard, the weed-eater line keeps breaking. i have the head attachment that let's you use small strips of line {abnout 10" long} that you feed into the head and then replace when they are worn out. I think the string I cut the pieces from is .095 thick. I was thinking that steel fishing leader might be a better option. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Also, you might consider a head that you wind the string onto. Then you just bump it to extend the line.

Also, be sure your weedeater head stll has the metal grommets where the line feed through the head. If those are gone, they can damage your string.

I put the same type head on my wead eater because winding the double line was just too dad gum complicated. I went to the lease with a buddy and was just cutting .096 from his large spool...I found that those heads don't work with that line...it is designed to break as it cuts and the cut line designed for that head wears from the cuttin end inward. So go back to the line designed for the head and the breakage stops.
