Bobs is great. You can stay at the embassy suits at bass pro just down the street if you decide to stay another day.

For lunch, Hard 8's BBQ is pretty hard to beat. Dinner seems to be a little dried out when we go.

Bob's ain't cheap but I am with Dale, my favorite steak place. Esparza's is great for basic Tex Mex with some awesome margarita's and right off Main St. The new place by Bob's is called Mi Dia and is supposed to be "real" mexican food. Pricey but good. There is also a Fireside Pies right there that makes some good pizza.

Bob's is great. Esparza's has good food and great Rita's. Grapevine has plenty of hotels. Get on price line to find great deals and you can bid on rooms and save some money for Bob's.

                  I love priceline...hopefully I can find a good deal.

Would y'all recommend staying the extra night in Grapevine, or somewhere else in the DFW area?

the choices and price points are endless. Bobs is definitely a good stop but not sure if you got little ones in the group. Honestly, it is something i would not worry about as everyone will be happy with the array of choices.

Is Bob's any better than what we have in H town? I'll have both my 6 and 10yr old girls with me. I'm not too worried about them...they love dining at nice steakhouses. Some of their favorites around here are Vic and Anthony's, Rainbow Lodge, and Pappa's Steakhouse.

Bingo!!! The three you named are excellent as we hit those often. Bob's falls in that vain. On a fun trip I probably would not have that on my list and my daughter is now 14.

Good to know. I should have never raised my kids on steak...it sure is expensive to take the family out.

Thanks for the suggestion. Have you done the train thing? I found it online and it looks fun, but don't know anyone that has done it to get any feedback.
