          Jamie,

Would this work ok for self filming at say 20 yards or less or is the lens too wide?

When in remote mode does Go Pro have to be on? Or can the remote WiFi turn it on in order to save battery?

Does it make any digital or mechanical noise when being turned on or turning off?

            Thanks.

No, the wifi backbac needs to be on, but not the camera.. The remote will turn the camera on/off plus record and setting functions..

There is no noise if you turn the sound feature off in the settings..

Im surprised noone has caught this yet, but I believe any computer aided surveilance I.E. wiFi from a remote location is illegal in the state of Texas and several other states. Id check with GW before you do this. If your filming and streaming thats one thing but using a couple hundred yards away to watch deer coimg in is another.

Has anyone tried the head strap? Would like to have it film exactly what I'm looking at. While you draw and aim your bow you would need to have the camera slightly off center.

I have the head strap.. I think your better off with it mounted to your bow or a micro mount and a bow hanger..

WOW.. Well, I guess you get what you ask for.. I called Texas Parks & Wildlife and spoke to "Chris" who said it was illegal even if you were recording and the camera was at the base of your tree stand..

That surprises me. I didnt think it would be. Well i guess its good to know that now instead of later.

How did they justify that it was "hunting" an animal?

Well, he was like, if your looking for a loop hole then I guess just take your chances.. Do whatever you want..That is a quote..

I'm not fully confident that he understands wifi streaming of video.. But, he said if it was on a trail and I saw a deer coming on the stream, and then I shot the deer that would be illegal..
