No, I don't think this ridge is here to stay....just that it will feel like hell while it is around. This is summer time in Texas where HP Ridges are common for us putting most of the state in the upper 90's to triple digits. Hopefully this will be more of a temporary strong hold from the ridge as models are showing rain in the forecast (ridge weakening) by the end of this upcoming work week.

My forecast track was off by roughly 18 hours behind schedule but....Debbie cleared out into the Atlantic near the Bahamas after drifting slowly over Florida.


Surfed South Texas Friday - Saturday....shifted gears and surf fished Sunday till mid-day before rolling home Gulf calmed.....went super clear and super calm to a point.......it got too flat...and way too hot for consistent day time fishing.

Fishing Saturday - early AM in the surf....if you could find a South side jetty to fish within the first 30 yards of water......barely legal specks running the surf till 2 hours after sun-up before lock jaw shut-down. If you fished steadily, everynow and then a 20 - 25 inch trout will show but, you will catch and release about 10 chicken specs to get there.
