I am completely shocked. This is hard to imagine. My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to all the family and loved ones. Sad and hard to swallow for sure. Really puts things in perspective.

I've never met Brad, but being on TBH makes me feel as of he was a close friend... In the last few years I've been drawn to any topic that Concho Man and the boys have laid out! It saddens me deeply to know that this has happened to such a wonderful young man, full of spirit and love for people and sport.
I pray for his family and friends, and that they know his spirit lives among us and after healing we will be stronger knowing that he is now a Guardian! God speed Brad!
For us left on this earth, let us not forget that life is fleeting, and to love those among us! Family, kin, and loved ones... Hug their neck, kiss their cheek, let them know they are loved!
Again, my deepest sympathy to the family for the loss of this good Man!

After reading this entire thread, I have one overwhelming thought. If - god forbid - anything tragic were to ever happened to me, I can only hope and pray that my son would be able to go back and read a thread like this about me. What an amazing outpouring of love and support. It's awe inspiring to read the testimony of friends who loved and treasured every minute with Brad. It's also incredible to read how many people who never even met him, respected him so deeply (I'm on this list). I can only imagine how much comfort this will bring Brad's family and friends in the coming season of healing they're entering.
Just amazing.

To all the broken hearted:
Brad was know to many...........some in a very personal manner...........some for all their lives............for many years............for a short time...............some thru this virtual environment that has a way of bringing itself into reality, in every day lives and moments.
Many knew Brad...........some very, very well...............some pretty well.............some better than they realized until the last 2 days...........having never actually met him, but, can truthfully and whole heartedly call him brother.......some feel like they have met him without meeting face to face.
It is a special and unique individual who can do this and touch so many in 30 short years. A testament to his nature and a strong testament to the parents who raised him.
I pray this loss of ours, of his family and friends, is a miracle of gain to others out there that may get to benefit from the gift of life he may be bestowing on other strangers at this very time thru his desire to be an organ donor. I pray that with his tragedy the Lord saw it to be His will that others will recieve the gift of life thru the loss of our friend Brad. May there be 10-12 people or more out there that are now realizing they will live thru this selfless act of this stranger to them.
This seems to be the very heart and soul of this young man name Concho Man. He touched many here on the green screen. May he touch others in a real and tangible way with his selfless generosity. Not many young men would even think about this mmuch less act on and be sure those closest around him not only knew his wishes, but was assured they would be upheld and carried out.
May his heart be now beating in the chest of another to continue to live on. His eyes to another to see life and the world the way he did.
May his lungs be sucking in the air and the life this world offers and God has given to one or 2 who without would not.
May he help a diabetic become dependent not on insulin but the zest and zeal to live strong.
May he help 2 renal patients be untethered from the machine they were tied to 3 days a week and actually enjoy the pleasure of being able to pee on their own again.
May he cover and encompass a burn victim with his tough but gentle outer covering.
Brad has left this world as we know it, but I pray he lives thru so many others here.
We know he is living in glory in a new body with our Lord and Savior and the angels are singing Glory Hallelujah!!!! A believer comes Home!!!!!
So to the broken hearted (there are so very many tonite) rejoice in Conchos last selfless act he could do on this earth.
I know Heaven is rejoicing in a new eternal inhabitant. And a shining one at that.
Rest in Peace, hunt on Brother in Christ, Brad Ellis.

I have been reading this thread off and on for the last 3 hours and finally was able to actually respond to it. The emotions that I have been feeling are overwhelming to say the least. I, like so many others didn't have the pleasure of meeting Brad but did follow along on his live hunts and most recently on his training for the TWS. But I can't help but feel like I've lost a good friend and my thoughts and prayers go out to those that were close to him, especially to his family in this time of mourning.

- be a man people will remember with a smile and a tear
- be a man folks love to be around because they never know what you will do next
- love the outdoors, it is God's way of letting us see a peek into Heaven
- there are no culls
- meet everyone you can for next to family they are your family
- swigging is good
- swigging with friends is better
- be special to someone you never met
- sing and play even when it is not exactly on tune
- a big smile can change a life
- live every last minute to the fullest
- have a friend that would drive a thousand miles for someone when they need you the most
- people remember memories, so make a few
Father please bless his family and friends as we grieve his loss and celebrate his memory. Amen
It also reminds me of a guy who was a big deal to my dad, myself, and our church...who said "Be the best Christian that someone knows" I'm fairly certain that Brad was that man to someone...and probably more.
