I give my wife an RA shot once a month. Makes me giggle every time!

I don't ever really think about it. I guess they don't bother me. Now going to the dentist...that's a whole other can of worms!!! If rather get a shot in my eyeball.

I taught myself a technique when working with children that allow me to give very nearly painless injections. Even full grown men don't cry!!!!!!
Seriously, my technique works like a charm. But I don't give it out very freely. Had to listen to crying children and it broke my heart, so necessity was the mother of invention. And no, it's not take em by surprise, but just something I do that is extremely distracting to the brain that works very, very well.
It is a bummer tho, with most all meds given IV rather than IM, I usually have to wait til flu season to use this technique!!!!
