In my opinion you have to figure out what works for your property because every property is different. I personally would start with 5 seconds at first light and 5 seconds two hours before dark. If the corn isn't being all ate by the deer then turn it down to 3 seconds. If the deer are eating it all before dark then add a couple of seconds. Now if you have a lot of pigs that come out during daylight, your going to want to put up a feed pen unless you would rather shoot pigs then deer because the pigs will run the deer off.

Where is your place ? Have fun. Do your best to make sure the thing is slinging. I say 2-3 seconds. As said the spinner plate/funnel gap is different for everyone. I do 2 sec in the off season and ramp it up to 4 just before the season starts. My place is so far that I only get to check it every 2-3 months at best so I need the corn to last. I have feeders that are closer. I can check them every week. I ramp the times up on those. 4-5 seconds. Im back before they go empty. Congrats on the new place. Take pics and share um.

I set mornings at 6:10am CDT or 7:10 am CST. I set evenings at 4:40am CDT and 5:50am CST. I want to make sure I've made it to blind for PM hunt, especially on days I'm running late to the blind- so set a little later than most.
Set for 3 seconds in morning. 2 seconds in evening. Evening corn gets eaten by hogs as much as deer at my place, and much of that after dusk which is only good for the hogs.
