    Oswalt agrees with Rangers

I dont know if I'm late on this but just heard on the radio that they've come to an agreement. Oswalt will make a minor league start before joining the team. Great pick up for the Rangers if he stays healthy.

Color me skeptical but I'll try to learn to like this deal!

Does he have anything left in the tank? That guy has been around for a while.

Hope it works out and we get some quality starts out of him.

Can't hurt. Feldman is not proving to be the pitcher he was 2 years ago.

Well since he hasnt had to pitch the first two months of the season, maybe he will hold up for yall. Who is he going to replace in the rotation? How are the Rangers shaking up the pitching staff? Is one of the starters getting sent to the bullpen?

He still has some juice left. I gree up a big fan of Oswalt in Houston. Got to meet him at a high school summer camp once. Like I stated earlier, if he stays healthy he is a great pick up

x2. I'd rather have a bench bat. Lots of speculation that this means Feliz is going back to the bullpen and noone seems real sure what his role might be out there. Or that Feliz is hurt much worse than originally thought since it's going to take Roy O a month to be ready.

Feliz is on the DL. It will be interesting to see what they do when he comes back if Oswalt does well..

For me, I guess it all depends on how well he pitches and how much he cost. Lot of variables going in before I can make a decision. Right now I am skeptical like FND with his back problems and a 9-10 record on a playoff caliber Phillies team....however I can learn to like him..

To add to that, if Roy is going to do a couple of minor league starts, Feliz could possibly be off the DL by then.

Tateyama probably goes back down although he has been pretty solid since his call up. Who else goes back down?

Feliz in the pen for the rest of the season wouldn't upset me. Just thinking outside the box here. If Uehara can keep pitching strong maybe him or someone else in the pen becomes trade bait and we pick up a bat at the deadline. All I know is Oswalt isn't a bad sign. We already have one of the top pens/rotations in the league, with a few guys banged up Neftali/Ogando, why not?

I think we keep Uehara since he is good against lefties and righties and is pitching well with only the rookie lefty in the pen.

The Rangers minor league team is the Round Rock Express just down the road, and my company has season tickets. May just find out when he is going to play if its possible to do so.
