Prepping. Do you do it?

I think about prepping more and more these days. My wife and I talk about it all the time. Guns, food, supplies, etc. the list can go on forever. It's always a good thing to be prepared but how far do you take it?

Any one one here prep? If so, why?

I don't prep, but I know how to hunt and fish. I figure that will get me farther then others.

I never used to over prep, but now that I have 2 children and am not chasing women or have "better" things to do, I always make sure that I am ready to roll when the time comes. Sometimes I forget certain things, but I am less forgetful now that my "good times" are extremely limited.

Not to an extreme. Plenty of ammo, food and toilet paper. Cause when the **** hits the fan I want to be prepared. I can do without a lot of things but TP ain't one of them.

I'm getting together a couple of "bugout bags", storing up some ammo, trying to preserve some food and water supplies for "tough times", but not like you see on Doomsday Preppers on the History channel. These things need to be done just for regular emergencies, like hurricanes and such. I'm also shoring up my home defenses as far as reinforcements for the home in case of invaders, but that needs to be done anyhow. If I get these things done sufficiently, I might go further. But really, I'm counting on Christ rapturing me before things get too much out of control.

I keep enough on hand that I don't have to run to the store but maybe once a month.It also helps that we have enough wild game and cattle to last a life time.
