Another vote for Fenix.Runs off rechargeable 18650 batteries and has 4 brightness settings to increase battery life.

I have been carrying a TerraLUX Lightstar100 at work for a little while now. I really like it. I has an LED with 2 brighness settings & strobe. End cap push button operation and runs on one AA batt. Nice & bright on the higher setting.

                  go with coast.

the headlamp is around 140 lumens... on 3 aaa bateries.

                  they also have regulat flashlights.

the headlamp I got at Lowes. good stuff.

                    Magicshine..
$85 off ebay, its an insanely bright light.
I commute by bicycle with one and cars flash their lights from being blinded.
Its rechargable and the same light as a P7 torch.
5 Maglight 4D cell flaslights duct-taped together wouldnt even come close.

Stream light! Try to stay away from the ones that use the 123 batteries. Expensive and don't last long.

I have a Noxx Xplorer headlamp and love it. Plus the batteries are AAA instead of the expensive Surefire batteries.

When the beam is on high and narrowed down I wouldn't say it's unrealistic to think you could varmint hunt with it.

Elusive wildlife lights are all I use. My personal favorite.

Just bought a beamTech of eBay for $43. 4000 lumens. Insanely bright for about 80-100 yards. Runs off a 18650 lithium battery. I just wish it had a better beam.
