    Surefire

Are you looking for LED or Xenon, what size, price range?

I have been a Streamlight fan "Stinger" for many years. But I purchased a Fenix Tk35 and all I can say is wow.

If you like cheap aa batteries and 100 plus yards spot, try Eagletac (P20A2).

Try a Fenix TK11 or TK15. They are in your price range and will run on the rechargeable Li-Ion batteries... Here's the cheapest place I've found for the lights, batteries and charger. www.brightguy.com

StreamLight has always been good to me.

I have a Browning that runs on a single aa battery. It has a clip to clip it on your cap to double as a head lamp. I have three Surefire lights, but the batteries are expensive. I really like the Browning.

I have a Petzl Tikka and it works great. Several brightness settings. It is LED and runs a looong time on two AAA's. I also have a cheap Energizer one that works fine too, bit its a little big and heavy. LED is the way to go if you want long battery life and no filament breakage if you drop it.

princeton or petzel headlamps seem to be pretty good. I have used my petzel for years and am happy with it.
