I bought one of the Sous Vide control devices from Amazon and it worked perfect. You just plug it in the wall and plug your crock pot or what ever into it. I set the temp at 135 and it stayed perfect for the six hours, that I was using it.

I had a couple of seasoned elk steaks in there and they came out medium cooked and very tender. It makes a great steak and it kinda fun doing something a little different.

I use my sous vide machine for everything from backstrap to deer ribs. Even burgers. Click image for larger version

I did beef ribs for New Years that were freaking amazing. I SV's them at 132 for 24 hours ahead of time, then rubbed them with mustard and steak seasoning put them on the smoker at 210 for about three hours till the internal temp was 138. i have never had beef ribs even close to being this good...tender, medium to medium rare and just a huge dense beef flavor.

Did the Sous Vide thing on this Chuck Potroast and finished it 2 minutes per side on the grill.

                Turned out great! Very tender.
