Taurus does make a good gun, you can't go wrong with either choice. If you would like to save some $$$ then get the Taurus but if you have the $$$ to spend you can go with the Ruger.

Seven Taurus's over the course of 21 years here and no problems whatsoever. Needless to say I vote for the Taurus.

Back ttt. I rented an LCP today and it shot wonderfully. I think this type of gun is exactly what I want.

Any other thoughts about the two guns?

I have an LCP. Shoots great. I don't have a TCP but like the LCP.

What's that ole saying about 6 one way..you got it! I own the RUGER and I love it. I think they are both about the same. I looked at both, bought the RUGER cause it was available without ordering.

Thanks y'all. What's the average price difference between the two? Anywhere in particular that would be best to buy from?

Why the .380? Is this going to be a CCW?

Had both. Have the Taurus now. They are both snappy with full house ammo, much more so than my wife's Sig P238. Search for my thread a while back on the tcp.

I have a Taurus 9mm Slim. It feels nice in my hand but is the least accurate gun I have ever shot. Even at 12 feet, it was shooting 12 inches to the left every time. Never shot the Ruger LCP. Wanted to buy that gun but that was back when I couldn't find 380 ammo. So I bought the Taurus

Eventually, yes. Gotta wait a few more months to turn 21 and take the class first.

I wouldn't buy either. I would (and did) buy the Kahr P380. All stainless, real sights (night sights available) and a slide lock. Much better gun than either you are looking at.

Potentially trust your life to the lowest bidder?

BUT, if it's an every day carry weapon, I would step up to the CM9 or better yet the PM9. I carry a PM9 every day. It's amazingly reliable and accurate.

Ruger LC9 is about the same size. I bought it for my wife and she shoots great with it out to 30 yards. Best choice IMO for the small framed pistols.

                                Which and why???

Which ever one you like best, because you're gonna be the one shooting it!

                                I carry the ruger.
